Wasted dreams

Song of the Day: Pussycat Dolls - Buttons

Last night, I had a dream that I was making out with Clark Kent. Naked. In a pool.

I woke up and immediately thought, "I had a hot Smallville dream and I wasted it on Clark? LEX. LEX IS THE ONE I WANT TO DREAM OF."

I suck at dreaming.

The Lost Room

12.14.06

Song of the Day: Deborah Gibson - Only Words (radio edit)

The next time I decide to cram two weeks' worth of exams into three days so that I can travel earlier, somebody shoot me.

I did, however, have time to watch the new SciFi Channel miniseries The Lost Room, and posted a review over at Vox. Use the link to the right to read it, but be warned it's mildly spoilery. Of course, I'm not entirely sure there was anything to actually spoil.

Brain must rest.

Silent night

12.11.06

Song of the Day: Rachel Stevens - Funny How

I suddenly really like the Pussycat Dolls song "Buttons." This is, quite frankly, horrific and downright unacceptable.

It's been quiet here as I've finally finished the 25-page-paper-who-knew-too-many-revisions and written one exam, and it will continue to be quiet as I write three more exams and then spend the holidays and beginning of the new year with my friends and family. I'm not being all hiatus-y, but don't think I've died from eating too many Christmas cookies if I don't update for a while.

Everyone give a round of applause to J, who turns in her final thesis and attends her last college class ever today. She is graduating from college with an awe-inspiring GPA, so send her lots of money to congratulate her.

$5 plane tickets and caffeinated water

12.04.06

Song of the Day: Harland - Pounding

Today, I accidentally bought caffeinated water. It was an accident because I had no idea such a thing existed, and I naively thought that any water in a bottle would be, well, water. Upon inspection, the label promises as much caffeine as you'd get in a cup of coffee. This is bad because caffeine and I don't go together well (think - 7 hours of twitching and not being able to focus while feeling slightly drunk), and I've already started flying high after drinking only half the bottle.

I made another purchase today, which was infinitely better - a plane ticket to San Fran to visit J for 10 days in January. For only $5. Yes, folks, Southwest's frequent flier credits really do work, without any hassle. So now I have extra money to spend on all the sushi/booze/makeup/designer purses at non-designer prices/etc that we will be buying. Right now it's a little difficult to separate the genuine excitement from the caffeine, but I'm pretty sure that I can't wait.
