To go or not to go...

Song of the Day: Tracey Thorn - Here It Come Again
I have been wrestling with the question of whether to go to class or not today. I'm pretty sure I have the flu, or something quite like it, but the guilt of skipping class is weighing on me. Spring break just ended. I already had plenty of days off. I dragged my sorry ass to class yesterday and it was miserable, and then I felt guilty that I was sitting next to unsuspecting people who probably wouldn't appreciate being exposed to my germs. I need someone here to make the decision for me and then tuck me into bed so I can't argue.
I am suddenly addicted to Peapod, where you order your groceries on the internet and then someone delivers them right to your door. I received a $20 coupon in the mail to coincide nicely with my illness, so I put it to good use, figuring that I'd only use it that one time. And then when they delivered my food this morning, they gave me more coupons. Talk about knowing how to suck someone in. Coupons! No stepping foot inside a store! Seeing a running tab as I add things so I'm not grumpy at the check-out lane! No dragging two weeks worth of food 5 blocks back to my apartment! Between this and Netflix, my reasons to leave my apartment are slowly disappearing.
I learned a neat trick over spring break. I pointed to a pair of shoes in Shannon's closet and said "Those are really cute," and she gave them to me, saying that she's never worn them. I think my next use of this trick will be pointing at her future-brother-in-law and talking about how handsome he is. I know for a fact she's never worn him.

Song of the Day: Sarah Nixey - Beautiful Oblivion
I've slowly been adding all the books I've ever read to my Vox account (not including the entire YA section of the library that I read between the ages of 7 and 10 - at 11 I'd run out and had to move on to Grisham and King and the like). There's no way I'll ever remember them all, since the number is great and my memory is terrible (I find myself wondering if it counts if I read it but can't remember what happened in it). I just now added Thomas Harris's first three Hannibal Lecter books as a Tivoed episode of the Twilight Zone ended. I then flipped to the Tivo Suggestions menu to see what it was currently recording - The Silence of the Lambs. I think I'm a little disturbed by that.
