04/30/2007: "Am not growed up yet"

Song of the Day: Nikka Costa - Everybody Got Their Something

Three weeks from today, I will be in Ohio, bidding adieu to my Chicago days and trying to pretend I don't have the biggest test of my life facing me in July. I thought I would have my apartment through the end of June, but the apartment lease manager called me today and offered me the option of clearing out a month early since there is a waiting list for studio apartments in my building. Since it fits in nicely with the plans I already had in motion, I said yes and rejoiced at the idea of saving a full month's rent.

And then I turned around and turned that money into the first few months' payment on a white 2006 Ford Taurus. Ohio does not have trains and buses, and I am expected to transport myself, oddly enough. Which means, in 3 weeks' time, I will be a law school grad who has a car in her own name for the first time ever. GROWING UP TOO FAST, FETCH ME MY TEDDY BEAR, PLEASE.

I have two. In case you were wondering.

This is all practice for when you finally meet your destiny in California, and have to drive yourself around here, too.

YAY! I think somehow we'll have to split you in two so you can be in Ohio AND California... cause that IS your destiny. :-)

Steve <3's the Taurus. He keeps telling me they are the most reliable and powerful car for the money. He wanted me to buy one when I got the Hyundai. I would've but I just don't like the body style. Regardless, he can fix them, you know, for when we all live in Cali

Your car will bless you with transportation. Don't forget to thank God for your blessings. How beautiful life is.
