It hasn't reached above 0 degrees all weekend. The wind chill factor has been -22 degrees. I just looked out the window and there are people jogging on the path along the lake. Gotta love Chicagoans.

Speaking of my lovely city, how ironic is it that I felt lucky that I got out of Ohio the day before OSU's bowl game, and suddenly here I am in the middle of a city hours away from playing a Super Bowl game. The good news is, Chicagoans are not as frickin' crazy as people from Columbus, Ohio, and no one has annoyed me by ODing on Bears colors and by generally acting stupid. And all the buildings Downtown are lit up at night to say things like "Go Bears!" and some even have bear faces on them. Kinda cute, it is. It'll be interesting to see if they win; the evil part of me wants them to lose, since an ex-boyfriend who annoys me is a huge Bears fan. The not-so-evil side figures that if the other teams in this city get their big wins out of the way, surely my Cubs will have their turn soon. Maybe.

I don't really want to watch the Superbowl. I have no interest in it. However, I feel I should because I do enjoy the snacks.

Maybe if I just get all the snacks, drink a bunch of beer, watch something else and scream at the television, it'll be close enough.

I hate football.
I hate the superbowl.

And since I live in the state and city in which the freaks come out during Buckeye anything, I do share in your hatred towards crazy people and football.

Just be thankful it's one weekend. I deal with many more than that!
