The women who post on a makeup/M.A.C. Cosmetics forum that J and I both visit have quite a habit of dumbing themselves down. How do they do this? Observe:

"Lipstick" becomes "lippies"
"Pigment" becomes "piggies"
"Nordstroms" becomes "Nordies"

I've heard Nordstrom referred to as "Nordies" (similar to Bloomingdales referred to as "Bloomies")... but Lippies?? C'mon...

Okay - I hate it when people say "preggers." I realize this is a colloquialism from the 1960's, but it's gone on long enough.
