10/24/2005: "Painting the town (apartment) red"
Song of the Day: Madonna - Hung Up
Last night, I painted several walls in my apartment dark red. I'd been planning on doing it for the entire past year, but never got around to doing it. Last night was definitely interesting, as it was 40 degrees out, and I had all my windows open for ventilation, yet at the same time had the heater turned up as far as it would go. I'm eager to get all the furniture pushed back into place so I can see what the finished result looks like, especially since I rearranged some stuff at the urging of my uncle. He was so eager for me to move my tall and skinny CD shelves from the bedroom area to the hall that he (accidentely, he claims) knocked all the CDs out of one and then dropped the entire shelf on them. A lot of the cases are shattered to bits, but the CDs themselves seem to be whole.
After helping me turn my apartment dark red last night, tonight my uncle will be making my hair dark red. I'm fully expecting to feel the relief I always feel when the blonde-ish highlights from the summer disappear and the rest of my hair becomes darker. God really didn't know what he was doing when he made me a natural blonde.

I thought he was an 'Intelligent Designer' though? Surely you're not suggesting something that powerful and amazing could have made a mistake, are you? Cause if you are, I'm gonna ride my Jesus Horse over and beat you up.DPearl, Monday, October 24th
