Song of the Day: Angelina - I've Been Waiting

Cherry Chapstick - the best 99 cents you can spend. I knew it'd be a mistake to buy it, because I tend to neglect all 500 of my other lip glosses when I have a stick in my possession.

I'm very pleased that the new version of iTunes shows both the amount of time you have left in a song, as well as how much time has already passed, instead of making you pick between the two. What a novel idea. It only took them six versions before they had this attack of brilliance.

And speaking of the new iTunes, I'm SO down with the idea of being able to download episodes of TV shows for $2 a pop, especially since Tivo is way out of my price range. I do hope that half-hour shows cost half as much as full-hour shows, but something tells me that isn't the case. I also don't understand why they're charging for music videos, since you can view those for free legitimately on Launch. I'm sure it has to do with the fact that you actually download it, rather than just streaming it, but so far there's nothing that's convincing me to go to iTunes instead of Launch.

In other TV news for the weekend: I <3 Grey's Anatomy with more passion with each passing episode, Lynnette is the only character I actually like on Desperate Housewives (although Gabrielle isn't so bad), and as far as the White Sox...right town, WRONG TEAM. Sigh.

EDIT: It seems I'm not the only one feeling the Grey's Anatomy love; on TVGuide.com's poll about which weekend show was the best, 48% of the respondents picked Grey's. The second highest was Desperate Housewives...with 9%. Only 1% picked Jennifer Love Hewitt's show. I saw that one coming.

At this point, I'm definately rooting for the Whitesox. They may have decimated my team in the first round, but hey... it's a great story. They haven't won since 1917 (unless you count the 1919 Blacksox Scandal) and it's great to think about two of baseball's longest championship droughts ending in back to back years. Maybe that means your Cubbies will be ending theirs next year.
