10/10/2005: "Pumpkin overload"
Song of the Day: Lasgo - Hold Me Now
My Worst Day Ever has been followed up by some pretty damn good days. I've spent the last two days running around with my Little (as in, sorority sister), Amy, and I get her for another two days before she has to head back to Ohio. We've done a crazy amount of shopping, and my purchases include the following:
* Caramel apple and pumpkin pie candles from Ulta
* Candle holders from Pier 1's fall sale that I've had my eye on for a few weeks
* Pumpkin beer
* Orange/cinnamon/clove soap from Lush
* The Sephora mix of mini perfumes that I mentioned a few entries back
* A tank top and gold necklace from The Limited
It's definitely been a smelly weekend, and my nose seems to be begging me to stop sniffing candles and soaps and perfumes. My nose went especially crazy at Lush, which sells wildly unique handmade soaps, massage oils, shampoos, and lotions. They actually have soap that's the consistency of Jell-o. The salesperson who was helping us seemed highly amused that I just couldn't wrap my brain around that one.
In shoe news, the store took back my poor boots without too much protest (The manager wanted to give me a store credit since, as he said, "We can't resell these." I replied, "You couldn't really sell them in the first place; I couldn't wear them since they were broken," and he refunded my money), but I still haven't found a pair to replace them with.
In other news, I did something wickedly catty last night that has been simmering inside me for the last few years. It's left me feeling smug and satisfied, and I'm just waiting for the response that I know has to be coming.
