09/13/2005: "Bones and allergies"

Song of the Day: Texas - I Don't Want A Lover

For the last few months, I've been using "Anti-Viral" Kleenex that supposedly kill off cold and flu germs. Not because I actually believe they'll work, but because they were a good deal at the grocery store.

Do they work? Not if my current condition is any indication. I actually want to stick my fingers down my throat to scratch everything that's itching in there. I'm so ladylike, I know.

And this week starts the new TV season (I don't count The O.C., that show drives me nuts). Tonight I'll be checking out Bones and Supernatural. Bones because it has David Boreanaz in it, and I've always enjoyed the projects that Buffy alums do. Supernatural because, well, hot guys. Honestly. That's my only reason for tuning in, because the two guys in the ads for it are simply gorgeous.

I'm looking forward to getting to watch Grey's Anatomy, The Office, and Arrested Development again. I'll be a much happier girl once NBC offs a poor-attempt-at-being-newly-funny sitcom and puts Scrubs back on in its place. I'm still not interested in watching Lost or Desperate Housewives. I've never been one for the popular vote.

Off to buy some medicine to make my nose calm down.

LOST isn't that bad. I really liked it until I missed too many episodes and made myself pledge not to watch anymore until the DVD came out (which it has… HINT HINT)

And plus it has hot guys in it too! There’s a 50-year-old bald man, a 10-year-old boy, Jack, the main character, who's the subject of every 40-year woman's late night fantasies, some violent Asian dude and Dominic Monahan, whom if he was the only character on this show, millions would tune in to watch because of him in all his awesome, sexy glory.

So, that should be enough to convince a desperate cat lady like you to watch. I hear the Asian dude is single…

Bones was better than I thought it'd be. Definately worth checking out for a few weeks. Supernatural, on the other hand, was fantastic and it's going to be one of my new favorite shows if the first episode is any indication...

Thanks for getting me hooked. :) Depite being a TV snob for not liking reality TV, your taste in shows is pretty decent. No, wait... your taste in shows is very decent. Reality TV is teh sux.

Oh gross

Anyway, anti-viral/anti-bacterial products promote bacterial resistance to the anti-whatever that's put in the product, which basically means you're worse off in the long run. I am a nerd whee.
