Song of the Day: Lisa Stansfield - People Hold On
This weekend, I'm home in Columbus going through all the stuff in my room so that my mom won't have to do it when the house sells. I'm separating things into piles - what can be thrown away, what can be stored at my dad's place, and what will be brought back to Chicago with me.
I've come across some really cool stuff (TV Guides with Buffy on the cover from 1997), some really nostalgic stuff (shoeboxes filled with every note my friends ever passed to me during high school), stuff that scared me to death (pictures of the ex I dumped two years ago, when I thought that I'd destroyed everything relating to him), and not-so-scary stuff (the box of everything my first boyfriend ever gave me, which I still appreciate).
I've also found a stash of chocolate that my friends gave me sometime in high school. Two questions go through my mind: A) How the hell did chocolate survive this long in my presence? and B) Is it still safe to eat?

It's been two years since you dumped the bad ex? Heheheheheheh. Time flies. Especially when you're wearing tinted moisturizer and driving a purple car.j!!, Monday, September 5th
