07/03/2005: "Barefeet?"
Route-1 feat. Jenny Frost - Crash Landing (DJ Demand Remix)
Yesterday, I saw a sign on an escalator asking people to not ride it with "barefeet".
Needless to say, this made me cringe. Whenever people mash together two words into one, I want to grab something and smash them over the head with it. And this was an official, professionally made sign!
You can be barefoot, yes, but you do not walk around with barefeet.
It is not "eachother" or "alot". I don't even understand why so many people seem to think those two "words" exist. Do they speak too fast, or slur their words, and just assume that it's written the same way? I'm trying to think of other ones I see frequently, but I seem to be repressing the horrific memories.
Honestly, people, let's use the space bar. That's what it's there for.

One of my elementary school teachers INSISTED that a lot was one word. She would correct our papers and stories and mark off points when we wrote it as a lot. I constantly corrected HER.Little Willow, Monday, July 4th
