Song of the Day: Poe - Another World

I'm breaking my rule of not posting more than once per day in order to scream...

I GOT A FUCKING "A" IN MY JUSTICE CLASS.

An A, not an A-, a full and complete A, on the forced curve, which before now I had thought was a near impossibility in law school...

And that sucker gave one to ME.

I'm stuck between being speechless and not being able to stop shrieking.

Granted, I would feel much more elated if I'd gotten the A in a non-BS class, but my GPA won't know the difference. I was already so proud of the B+ in Property this semester, but this just makes it all so much better.

Wow. That's all I have left to say. Wow.

Congratulations, Brooke. You said only a certain number of poeple get As, right?

Yes, a number of people so small I'd resigned myself to going through law school without ever getting one.

Congratulations, I'm sure you worked like crazy for that A (which is what makes it even sweeter).

...and I'd say that your one post a day rule is one that you should break as often as you see fit. Sometimes inspiration or life just hits and you have to say something. No sense having a weblog if you're going to censor yourself.

Congrats! You get graded on a curve? That's mean.

It's beyond mean, cousineddie, it's law school's way of crushing its students' spirits.

Only a certain number of people can get A's, A-'s, B+'s, etc. A certain number of students HAVE to get the lower grades. If a professor enters grades into the computer that don't match up with the requirements, the computer doesn't accept them.

It's a harsh reality for most law students who had previously gone through life getting straight A's. It's a large part of what makes law students so bitterly competitive and stuck up.

So, since we share the same last name, do you think the government (or whatever high-power that monitors school grades) would notice if I switched our grades?

Because, you know, my grades are SO much better then yours. I'd love to do my bigger sister a favor by giving her my OH SO AMAZING grades and taking her nasty, icky, GPA ruining grades...

-sigh- screw you. but congrats.

Congratulations! :)
