12/14/2004: "You're way behind"

Why is it making headline news that colleges are making their Greek houses dry in reaction to alcohol-related deaths? My school was way ahead of these schools, and our own Panhellenic council was the one who made the decision to make all sorority houses dry, not university officials.

Yesterday after an annoying 3 1/2 hour exam at 8:30 in the morning, I ran into a person having a 90120 moment on the bus. She was shrieking into the phone at some guy, going on and on for a half hour about, "You're being a jerk. I never lie to you. I tell you everything. I tell you what I say to other people. I tell you what I do with other people. I've given you everything. You're being a jerk." Everyone on the bus kept shooting her annoyed looks, and when she finally got off, the classmate I was sitting next to exclaimed, "That was the most innapropriate conversation for the bus ever!"

There are signs on the CTA busses that show a little stick figure named Jack yapping on the phone, and they say, "Don't be Jack." I'm not sure if it's intended, but I think it's their sneaky way of saying, "Don't be a jackass." :D
