10/28/2004: "Stupid boots"

I do not understand why my knee-high boots are so damn tight. Whenever I go shopping for a new pair, it takes forever to find a pair that zips up my calves. Everyone who knows me knows that I'm pretty tiny, and although I know I have muscular calves from 10 years of dance classes, I can't imagine that most people have smaller calves than I do! It must come from living in this society where curves are looked down upon. We all must look like Paris Hilton and her boy's stick-figure body. I LIKE my curves, thank you, and when my curves fit into size 4 pants, I should NOT have a difficult time finding boots that fit around my calves.

I would also like to protest clothing stores that don't have a size that fits me. When the bright green pants that are marked down to $19.99 at Express are too tight in a size 2 and so-huge-they're-falling-off-me in a size 4, it makes me want to take said bright green pants and strangle someone. The Gap also has a bad habit of making XS shirts that are too small and S shirts that are too big. WHO is the standard they're using?

Paris Hilton, probably.

I completely agree with the pant sizes and everything. I'm in between a 2 and 4 at Express, too. Jeans are TERRIBLE for me to find... I think the only ones that fit me right are Sevens, and you know how expensive the damn things are.

Buffy boots. :-) Duude, they still rock.
