08/03/2004: "Can't ever be happy..."
This proves Americans (or American journalists, at least) can't be happy with anything the government does. First the government was blasted for not doing anything to prevent 9/11. Now that we have intelligence about possible attacks with very specific information, the government is being criticized for raising the alert level on "old" information.
What IS it that they want?
Wasn't 9/11 planned for years in advance? If on 9/10/01 security was beefed up and the airports were doubly guarded, would the press complain that the information was planned years ago, why are they stepping up security now?
I often think the press is more evil than the government is (not that I think the government is evil at all), and I thank the Lord I turned in my journalism aspirations for a criminal justice degree.
Speaking of degrees, in less than a week, I'll have one! (That's amazing me to no end, I'm such a geek.)
