06/21/2004: "Birthday!"

I'm 21 today.

Wheeee!

It really feels strange, all this growing up stuff.

I was flabbergasted today when my boss gave me $100 and told me to buy myself the most expensive appetizer on the menu and a bottle of wine at dinner tonight. I protested, but then I considered the fact that all he has to do is work on a client's case for about 25 minutes to make that amount. In any case, it was really sweet of him and everyone at the office admonished me for not saying something prior to today so that they could have done something more "spectacular" for me.

Off to celebrate (but not to drink so much that I pass out, forget the entire night, and wake up in the hospital with alcohol poisoning. I'm a lot classier and self-restrained than that.)
