05/17/2004: "Hamster body parts"
I seem to have a problem with hamsters keeping all their body parts. One of them is missing an eye due to what I think was a cold or infection (He's a pirate now, I talk to him with one eye closed so he doesn't feel unusual), and now sometime in the last 24 hours, the one-eyed one bit the other one in the nose and a small chunk of Murray's nose is hanging off. His nose is still wiggling ten miles a minute, so it doesn't seem to have affected him too much, and I'm reluctant to put Neosporin or the like on it in case he eats it off (likely) and it ends up being toxic (not sure how likely, but I'm not willing to risk it).
Working for the immoral defense attorneys (my boyfriend's words, not mine) has been fascinating so far, it's so cool seeing everything I learned about in class at work in the real world.
Off to play hamster doctor now.
