11/30/2003: "Didn't work"

So much for thinking that missing the boy would make Thanksgiving break drag on. Here it is Saturday night already, and I feel like I just got home.

I didn't get anything accomplished, which I would be fine with since breaks should be used for relaxing, but there's the issue of actually having things that need to be accomplished.

Like my law school applications. Probably a good idea to send those in at some point. The funny thing is, the stuff that I'm dragging on for those are extra things for the schools that I don't even want to go to, they're just my backup schools that I know I can get into. The deadline for all of them is in February, but I'm definitely getting them out now. At least my two recommendation letters and my transcripts have arrived safely at the LSDAS service.

I have five new CDs to listen to on the way back to school tomorrow, all of which are fabulous. The Britney and Kylie CDs arrived today, finally, and on Wednesday I bought the new ones by Kristine W, Nelly Furtado, and Enrique Iglasias.

Britney's new one is fabulous and definitely her first "grown-up" album. I still love her early work, I have such a fun time singing along with them. There's something cathartic about belting out, "I'm not that innocent!" while doing 75 down the freeway.
