11/16/2003: "Salivating"
This is going to be a good week. I just got an email saying that Velvet Chain's new CD is shipping Monday. Velvet Chain is an indie band that puts all mainstream music to shame. They also treat their fans well, I have a number of autographed CDs from them and a custom-made CD with my name on it that includes a bunch of unreleased tracks.
Then on Tuesday, Amazon should ship both Kylie's and Britney's new CDs. I would have bought Britney's in the store, but Amazon is very sneaky with their "free shipping for orders over $25" deal...the Kylie CD (it's an import, it's not released in the US until February) was $24.95. Being five cents away, I refused to not buy something else and get free shipping. Of course, I could have waited until February and paid a much lower price for it, but give me a break. They're not even altering the track list, thank god, but I don't know why it's taking so long. Anyone who really wants it is going to import it, and then the sales in the US won't be as high as they could have been. Then, she'll decide to not release her next CD here due to low sales numbers. It's a vicious cycle my friends, and there's only one answer: I'm moving to England. :D
I've finished 90% of my law school application work. I needed some advice tonight to help me finish a few of the blanks I have, but my family is not answering any of the phones. I think they saw it was me on the Caller ID.
