11/02/2003: "I suck"
Yesterday I bought this fabulous grey shetland wool sweater for $8 at a thrift store. I was thrilled, it felt gorgeous and fit like it was made for me. However, I didn't know that it was made of shetland wool until after I washed and dried it just now.
You guessed it, it doesn't look or fit so fantastically anymore.
Sometimes I REALLY hate myself.
The only way to make myself feel better, I've decided, is to march to the mall tomorrow to find a replacement sweater (too bad the price won't be as sweet), a pair of black kneehigh boots, a pair of black slingback shoes with stiletto heels, and at least one new makeup item. I also need a new basic white tshirt, since mine mysteriously stretched out all funny, and when I washed that just now, it shrunk in the length. There goes the idea that cotton shirts with spandex in it won't shrink. I don't know what happened to it and I can't even remember the last time that I wore it and why or how it would have been stretched out.
Until I buy all that, I'm going to be really, really sad.
