09/22/2003: "Emmys suck"
May I ask why Everyone Loves Raymond won best comedy during the Emmy's tonight when Sex and the City and Will & Grace...didn't? I don't understand it. That stupid Raymond show puts me to sleep every time I turn it on, while SaTC and W&G continue to be fresh, hilarious, and innovative.
And then there's my whole issue with Buffy failing to snag any nods at all even though it was in its last season. The Emmys missed seven whole years that they could have acknowledged the show with a shiny statue, and all they ever did was sneak it technical awards during the unbroadcasted part of the ceremony. Oh well, everyone who's NOT someone involved in the Emmy nomination process knows it transcends most television programming out there.
On another note, next time I go to Tim Horton's, Wendy's, and Taco Bell (Toxic Hell) in one night, please stop me. Unless we get to harass the drive through people for giving us nacho cheese but no nacho chips. That's fun.
