09/10/2003: "General feelings of blahness"

I decided to sleep in today and skip my first class, but when I woke up and checked my email, I found out that the class was cancelled anyways. So much for trying to be rebellious. It's the middle of the third week of school, and my attendance record is still 100%. Quite a far cry from any semester before...

What is up with CD release dates being pushed back? I was excitedly waiting for today for Dido's new CD to come out, only to find out that it's now scheduled for September 30th. I can't even begin to explain how disappointed I am.

Kylie Minogue's next CD is slated for a November 17 release...only The Powers That Be know if that's the UK release date or if the USA is included in there. I can very much so see the US receiving the CD at a later date with a modified (read: crappified) track listing. (An example of that would be the removal of Hot Fudge from Robbie's Escapology...why would you remove a song whose chorus talks about "moving to L.A." from the CD for the country that L.A. actually resides in??)

My mood lately has been a general feeling of blahness, especially after the past weekend that was beyond draining because of sorority recruitment (where we are required to bounce and cheer and scream like cheerleaders on speed -- and I DO NOT BOUNCE). Not only do I feel like I can never get enough sleep to make up for about 8 hours of sleep Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night combined, but I'm also set back in my homework and reading now and feel like I'll have to labor away for the next week without any moments of self-pleasuring (ie - reading fun books and playing video games, you sickos) in order to get it finished.

Plus, there's just something...missing. I'm not sure what it is, but it's left me feeling discontented lately.
