05/28/2003: "Old parents"

Paul McCartney's 60, and he's about to be a new father. What is up with that? The poor kid, by the time it's 10 years old, its dad is going to be 70. He's not exactly going to be able to play baseball or other things like that with the kid. Who knows how long he's going to live; what 20-year-old wants to deal with their parent dying of old age? Just because you can still shoot sperm doesn't mean you should, I firmly believe that parents should be around in the child's life well into adulthood.

In other, news, I just got word that my sorority had a 2.99 GPA for the spring semester, which ranks us fourth out of all 14 sororities on campus and fifth out all sororities and frats on campus. This makes me very happy, being the Vice President of Scholarship and all. Good job, Sig Kaps!!

Well, look at Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Michael Douglas is already 'round 70, and he's still shooting sperm and making babies, because Catherine is due for another one pretty soon!! But I have to second that being with the child for their life and into their adulthood is a necessity. And then take in account that even though the men can still shoot sperm, the women are still letting them despite their age. I mean, Catherine knows they're not going to be able to freeze Michael like in that Mel Gibson movie, I think it was called Forever Young and that she might be the only one around to see them graduate college. Oh, well. In my humble opinion, it's their choice. :)
