10/21/2002: "Iraq is raising our drug prices!"
My dad is a funny one. I emailed him this morning teasing him that Bush is FINALLY talking about something other than Iraq. The news article that caught my attention:
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush (news - web sites) moved Monday to bring generic drugs more quickly to the market by blocking pharmaceutical companies from filing multiple patent-protection lawsuits that can stall the cheaper products for years. More
My dad emailed me back saying, "The topic has been a big thing lately with several big drug companies blocking generics for many years. It's a hot political topic. Also, he believes Iraq is behind the whole thing."
I should have known. Of COURSE Bush will blame our perscription drug problem on Iraq!

I've always been a fan of Bush. He has some winners in his cabinet. But I think it's about time we start worrying about our own affairs and not invade others. We can't be the country that saves everyone...what happens when we need help someday? I dunno. That's just my 2 cents.Shannon, Tuesday, October 22nd
