10/16/2002: "Stupid criminology professor"

My stupid criminology professor (the one who has the caffeine addiction) decided to tell us TWO DAYS before our research prospectus is due that she wants us to use journal articles for our sources, not books. Her words: "I thought I was specific by saying academic sources, but every person who's visited my office hours has used books. I want you to use journal articles." Stupid woman.

So now I'm browsing the online research databases, and I can't find anything on organized crime. I have plenty of books and chapters from anthologies (THOSE are okay, though, according to her), but all these journal articles are on things like sex offenders. There are LOTS of articles on sex offenders. And things like, "Criminal Violence: The Roles of Psychopathy, Neurodevelopmental Insults, and Antisocial Parenting". You'd think with Enron and WorldCom there would be renewed academic interest in organized and white collar crime. But nooooo.

This same criminology prof has a crush on my friend Damian, much to Damian's girlfriend's (one of my sorority sisters) amusement.
