09/01/2002: "Transparent me"
I hate being pale. Today I went shopping for foundation at the Clinique counter. They have this new one called "Halo Effect" that has light reflecting things in it that make your skin glow. I fell in love with it...until I tried on the lightest shade and saw how dark it was on my skin. I'm even a little bit tan right now, too. *sigh*

I, too, am transparent, as made obvious whenever I try to buy makeup or have my picture taken. When I'm standing next to my brother, I look like a corpse. (grrr mr. blond, tan sk8r boi) They don't make makeup for pale people! It's discrimination, I tell you!melantha, Sunday, September 1st
Oh, I know how you feel! It's so heartbreaking. The two real problems for me are that my skin, though indeed pale, is really reddish, and when I put on white stuff it looks bizarre and unnatural. And the worst problem of all is that they don't make lipstick colors for us either! Everytime I try to find one, they all look tacky. *sob*.Allison, Monday, March 3rd
